oh my goodness oh my goodness.... we maybe moving back to Georgia in less than a month! The Army LOVES to change things up on families at the last minute. We should know more in the next 48 hours. My head is spinning. The PROS: we would live in a town where there is actual stores to shop in and restaurants to eat at, I would be close to some of my family, we had an AWESOME ward there, Ammon and Hailey would have incredible preschools there, we would get a 4 bedroom house again with a ginormous backyard for Sophie, I would be so much more closer to my NC buds, only 4 hours from Orlando, Luke would be stationed there for about 2-3 years NO DEPLOYMENT... The CONS: Our friends are here in LA, we have our routine here, Ammon's friends are here, my mom lives 3 hours from us. That's about it for Louisiana. I am so attached to this post and this house though. I'm not sure why exactly. Maybe it's b/c this is where Luke deployed from. I had to make it on my own here as a single parent for a short time and I DID IT! If you ask anyone in the Infantry World where they would NOT want to get stationed, 99% of all people will say Fort Polk. It hasn't been bad here though. We have made it. However, we will be together, that's what counts. I'm nervous!

I'm just in a horrible mood today and I know I need to lighten up. Mother's Day was wonderful! I relaxed and had a day OFF!!! We went to church and after church there was a dinner for the Mother's. It was nice, but I couldn't relax one bit. They wanted the mothers to sit while the husbands served. The idea of it was nice, but still stressful. Most moms were sitting at the tables with the kids (it was 1pm and the husbands wanted the moms to eat first before anyone else). That didn't really happen. I got served my food and Hailey instantly dug right in. It was spaghetti and she loved it, my bread got passed on to Ammon and I ate my salad. HA! Next year, I think I would rather come home than to stay for the lunch. We got home and I got to take a 2 hour nap, which was nice. For mother's day I'm getting new sunglasses. I want REAL ones though and we live in a town that only has a wal-mart, so this coming up Saturday we are going to venture out to civilization and do some shopping. Luke did take me out last Saturday night for dinner (sushi) and we walked around walmart. That was nice. Then I woke up Sunday morning (Mother's Day) this was the day I was going to finally take my pregnancy test....and I had a visitor!! So, this was not our month. Oh, and about 5pm I got a text from a friend who said she was pregnant...that made me feel so great. (sigh) Our time will come, I know it, but I have no patience!!!

I'm excited for today! There is a Spouse Appreciation on post that lasts from 9am-2:45pm. It's FREE with FREE lunch and FREE childcare. They always great classes you take and TONS of raffles to give away. I'm going with a great friend, so I think it will be fun. Later on tonight we are headed to a shrimp boil. One thing I've learned since living in Louisiana is that people here love crawfish and shrimp boils. I think it's the only thing that is good about this state. I keep trying to look for the positives here...especially since we will be here for one more year. Luke is going to a new unit and that unit just happens to be on the same post, so we will not have to move away. If we can get pregnant before he heads to his new job, we can get a 4 bedroom house though, so hopefully it will all work out. Luke is going to be a Company Commander, he's excited about that. I'm just happy b/c this is a NON-DEPLOYABLE job!!! We know that for the next year he will be HOME and then we head to Ft. Benning, GA for the Captain's Career Course (that's 6 months long). So I get to keep my hubby close for the next year and a half and that is a great blessing!!!! I need to get going. I have two kiddos to get up, dressed, feed, teeth brushed, and out the door. Have a great weekend and a great Mother's Day!
